Let it bang, let it bang, let it Bang!

This December, Wivelsfield Bonfire Society is delighted to be bringing the community's annual firework display back to the Village Green.   This year we have a Christmas theme!

The approximate running order is as follows:

4.30pm - Doors open
5.15pm - Effigy reveal - what's going on top of the bonfire?
6.00pm - The Cock Inn Flame Show
6.15pm - Bonfire lighting
6.30pm - School painting competition - winners & prize giving
7.00pm - PSP Homes Fireworks
8.00pm - Approximate close

From doors open at 4.30 you can dance to the Band of Dads & their DJ (they return after successfully entertaining us in 2019), be wowed by Fire Eaters & Stilt Walkers, and enjoy food and drink from local good causes and businesses, so please arrive early! Our licensed bar is open from 4.30pm until around 8.00pm.

As a reminder, here are some key points for you:

• Doors open at 16:30 please come early to avoid queues, enjoy the entertainment and support local organisations & businesses.

• Car parking is not available on site or in the immediate vicinity. Please walk if you can. Very limited car parking is available at Wivelsfield Primary School on a first come first served basis.

• Please bring your email confirmation as this is your ticket. 

• Ticket sales have been amazing (hence why we have been quiet) and only a few remaining; so grab them for your family or friends now. Tickets available online until 4pm.

• Please don't bring your own food and drink - we have plenty of options available and you would be supporting local good causes and businesses.

For everyone's safety please follow these guidelines:

• No pets

• Don't bring you own sparklers or fireworks

• No umbrellas

• No smoking

 

From a Covid-safe perspective:

• You are welcome to wear a face mask.

• Hand sanitiser will be available.

• We may ask you to observe some one way systems - please follow any signage or directions given by marshals.

• We are asking all our committee members and volunteers to take Lateral Flow Tests on the day.

• If you have a test kit available, please take a Lateral Flow Test on Saturday to help keep everyone safe. However, in line with government guidelines, we won't check, and won't deny entry if you haven't taken one.
